The elderlies evaluated the whole 12 month project, its impact on themselves, thought about their personal learning outcomes and reflected on all the workshops, digital skills' boosting topics and their contents. The target group was upset this great project will be over soon. All of them expressed their willingness to be involved more if there is a follow-up on this project.
After the target group was granted with Certificates and later had time to celebrate with tasty cake, snacks and children's champagne (all our projects are alcohol free). Besides, the elderlies were gifted with useful promotional materials, provided by the European Union's Solidarity Corps. They also prepared very nice gifts for all the volunteers, for what the project team thanked them a lot.
The whole December the volunteers are going to dedicate to evaluating personal learning outcomes and the overall efficient results of this amazing and actual Solidarity project under the EU.
This amazing initiative is its kind of response to COVID-19 and the digital issues the elderlies face on a daily basis nowadays. It aimed to help elderlies to integrate into today’s digital environment and lifestyle.
Within this Solidarity project our initiative volunteers cooperated with our trustful partner - community center in Amstelveen “Participe Amstelland” and implemented the project's activities at Wijkcentrum Alleman. Because “Participe Amstelland” worked with vulnerable groups of elderlies, they were allowed to carry out activities for elderlies in small groups and under strict COVID regulations. Our volunteers followed all the COVID-19 measures: they disinfected the conference room before and after the workshop, were actively using hand disinfection gel during the workshops, etc.
“Digital Skills for Elderlies” is being implemented under European Solidarity Corps.
