ENHANCE YOUTH EMPLOYABILITY
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
The project Enhance Youth Employability (E.Y.E.) aims to empower young people
by increasing their opportunities to find a job and supporting them in the transition to the complex economic situation in Europe after the Covid-19 crisis,
that has brutally affected labour markets around the world.
Already before the pandemic youth unemployment rates were twice higher than general unemployment, but Covid-19 has led to increased youth unemployment in all Europe, though we can observe differences between the Member States.
Young people are one of the groups that find it most difficult to access the labour market. This is due to very different reasons, and in each country the issue responds to different causes: lack of opportunities, lack of training or motivationof the youngsters... Moreover, now, in the post-pandemic period, we are facing different employment challenges and youth unemployment has risen across Europe, though we find differences between the Member States. With this exchange we want to contribute with the creation of a stable labour market integration, providing the participants with the necessary tools and resources to improve their employability.
The planned activities will emphasize the job opportunities the youngsters can find within the European Union and the support they can find in terms of institutional policies and instruments such as Youth Guarantee or the Erasmus programme.
The objectives of the Enhance Youth Employability Youth
Exchange are:

Create a learning path based on non-formal education and “learning by
doing it” methods, where the participants will be empowered to become
an active part of the labour force in Europe, giving them the tools and
resources to effectively overcome the unique challenges that their
generation is facing regarding employment issues.
Increase the intercultural dialogue through all the project, where the
participants will have the opportunity to deepen their
comprehension of the labour market in Europe, as well as in their
own countries and regions.
Promote healthy lifestyle with the help of outdoor team building activities;
Foster equality and raise awareness of common values of tolerance, empathy towards otherness and respect.

♨️PROJECT VENUE: Palermo, Italy
💰ECONOMIC CONDITIONS: Food and accommodation will be 100% covered by the Accepting Organisation.
✈️TRAVEL COSTS: Reimbursed up to 275€ for participants, travelling from the Netherlands
🟣PREFERRED AGE OF THE PARTICIPANTS: 20 – 27 years
(no age restriction for the group leader)
